Repair And Replace Broken Smartphone Cameras
Estimated time for repair 45 - 60 minutes:
We often see where people say that the back camera on their phone is broken. This means either the camera itself is not working properly or is physically damaged, or that the lens on the back of the phone has been cracked. If the back is cracked, we recommend placing some clear tape over the camera to keep dust and dirt from getting into the phone and touching the camera module. Every single camera module is a sensitive component of any phone and is nearly impossible to get clean and perfect again.
Camera Lens is Cracked:
There are two ways we'll likely end up replacing the camera lens on an iPhone. First is by being very careful and removing the piece of glass with a pair of tweezers, replacing the adhesive, then placing a new lens on. This is the quick way that involves more risk to having glass fall into the device and hurting the camera more than it already was. The other option is for us to fully disassemble the device and remove the camera before removing the lens.
No matter the issue, we're here to help! If we can't fix it, there's no charge!
