Mobile Phone Charge Port Cleaning And Replacement
Charge Port Cleaning: Estimated time for service 10 minutes
Charge Port Replacement: Estimated time for repair 1.5 - 2 Hours
Replacing the charge port on any iPhone takes time and patience, we have both of those things! You might be seeing a trend with the iPhone repairs, we start by taking off the screen. After the screen is removed, we have to also take out the battery, and motherboard before we can fully remove the charge port of your iPhone. Taking time to ensure that all the screws are set aside to go back into the phone in the same order they were taken out and keeping your device in working condition is our top priority, hence the longer estimated repair time.
How to tell if my charge port needs to be cleaned:
One of the easiest ways to tell is trying to plug it in. If the charging port does not cleanly click into the device or it doesn't press against the frame, it may just need a cleaning. If for any reason, the cleaning does not get the phone charging like it should, the cleaning will be free. In addition to the cleaning, after the device is confirmed to be charging properly, we'll clean and sanitize the device at no additional charge!
How to tell if my charge port needs to be replaced:
You guessed it, plugging it in! If the charging cable goes in the iPhone all the way, but you're still not getting any indication of the phone charging then we're likely looking at one that needs to be replaced.
Smartphone Ear Speaker Cleaning And Replacement
Ear Speaker Cleaning: Estimated time for repair 15 - 45 minutes
Ear Speaker Replacement: Estimated time for repair 45 minutes
Replacing the ear speaker contains all the same steps as replacing the screen on an iPhone, the only difference is that we are replacing the ear speaker, proximity sensor, or both of these parts. The proximity sensor is the component that indicates to your device that the phone is being held up to your ear and makes the screen go dark and keeps touches from happening from your ear touching your phone.
How to tell if the ear speaker only needs to be cleaned or replaced:
Cleaning the ear speaker doesn't always solve the issue that you might be having with call audio sounding too quiet or muffled, but it's best for us to try cleaning the part before replacing it so we can keep from replacing the part when it isn't needed. The bits of dirt or lint that get stuck in the ear speaker can get into the part a bit too far to the point where it is not able to be cleaned out, resulting in the part needing to be replaced.
